About Ambassador Antonis Alexandridis
Ambassador Antonis Alexandridis is the Ambassador of Greece to the United States. Born in Volos, Greece, he holds a law degree from the University of Athens and an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge. A career diplomat, he has served as Ambassador of Greece to France and previously to the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, and held senior roles in Rome and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including work on EU external relations and human rights. He has been recognized with national and international honors including Grand Commander of the Order of the Phoenix (Hellenic Republic), the Order of Civil Merit (Spain), and the Order of Zayed II (UAE).
About Nicholas Doumanis, Professor and Illinois Chair in Hellenic Studies
Nicholas Doumanis is Professor and Illinois Chair in Hellenic Studies. His work spans world history, modern Europe, and the Mediterranean, with a focus on Greece and the Greek diaspora.
